The Qualities of the Believer

How to acquire commendable qualities?

The author, Ibn Hibban, said:

"This modestly sized work encloses elegant senses needed by the intelligent and wise today. It will be, in private, an honest confidant to the wise man, and a close protector in public.

I clarify, in this book, what will embellish, in the eyes of the sensible man, the practice of the praiseworthy qualities and will ugly the practice of the condemnable defects while seeking to prevent the fact of persisting in the accumulation of these defects, of lighten the weight of the wearer and illuminate the listener's ear.

Because of the many stories and poems that will be mentioned in this book, whoever tries to study each chapter in depth will wish they knew no ending. As for the one who refuses to achieve completeness and success, he will certainly have accepted weakness.

Allah is the Granter of success and the Guide to integrity. I ask Him for rectification of the soul and forgiveness against punishment for sins. He is certainly the most Generous, Noble and Merciful."
